Our Guarantee/Plant Care

Our plants are carefully grown and cared for to ensure you years of beauty in your landscape.  We grow our plants locally and source only the best seedlings and cuttings.

Our staff will guide you at the time of purchase for proper care and maintenance of your new plants. A few recommendations are below:

  • All plants should be planted approximately 1″ higher than the shoulder of the root ball or top level of the soil in container that the plants are currently growing within. Plants should be mulched with 3″ of shredded mulch but no mulch is to be mounded around the stems  of any plant.
  • Watering is to be done 3-4 times weekly for the first month the plant is installed. Water all plants to create a damp soil area that is not ‘muddy’.  Test your soil by grabbing a golf-ball sized amount of soil surrounding your plant and squeezing it.  If it crumbles in your hand,  the soil is too dry and watering is needed immediately.  If it is sticky and emits water when squeezed, it is too wet and over-watered. If itforms a ball and is damp and cool to the touch, the soil environment is perfect.
  • Fertilize all plants at the time of installation with a slow-release fertilizer recommended by our staff at the time of purchase.  Plants  should then be subsequently fertilized with same slow-release fertilizer once in spring and once in early fall.
