Established as a dairy farm in 1928, Sweet Valley Farms has been serving Hunterdon County for over 90 years. Starting with a few simple seeds of sweet corn for our own family and friends alongside the ‘everyday’ crops needed to feed the dairy herd, we found that our native Amwell Valley soils needed little amendments to grow prize-winning crops! We began experimenting with tomatoes, cucumbers, summer squashes, melons, pumpkins, and other produce crops and quickly began to find a niche market where our produce became a local favorite. After finding great success with produce, we thought, why not try nursery stock as well? We grow many of our own trees and shrubs that you’ll find available at our beautiful farm market and garden center. We continue to grow produce on our more than 200 acres, still in East Amwell Township to this day, and expand our offerings yearly. I guess you could say what you see today was ‘planted’ with a few simple sweet corn seeds!
