American Yellowood

Our beautiful native Yellowood tree with long panicles of fragrant white flowers in June. Fall color is a rich golden yellow; smooth, silver-gray bark resembles beech. 30-40′ high. 1.5-2″ cal. or 8-10 ft.

 


Ash ‘Cimmaron’

Cimmaron ash; Narrow in youth with upright branches forming an oval canopy, later leafing and holds leaves 7 to 10 days later in fall, rich dark green leaves turn brick red to orange-red in autumn, male, 60′ x 30′.  2-2.5″ cal. or 10-12 ft.


Ash ‘Summit’

Fraxinus Pennsylvanica ‘Summit’ (Summit Ash) hardy, straight trunked green ash.pointed narrow, oval crown of attractive foliage. Grows 50-60′ tall. 1.5-2″ cal. or 8-10 ft.

Heritage River Birch

Betula nigra ‘Heritage’. Heritage River Birch. Multi-stemmed tree grows 40-50′ tall. Large, triangular, dark-green leaves and pink-white exfoliating bark- superior selection of River Birch. 8-10 ft.

 


Bald Cypress

Taxodium Distichum. Bald Cypress. A conifer with pale green, fern-like foliage which is shed each fall. Thrives in wet ground, as well as under normal conditions. Very hardy and adaptable; makes an excellent, long-lived urban or street tree. Grows 60-75′ high. Not recommended to transplant in fall. 1.5-2″ cal. or 8-10 ft.


Corkscrew Willow

Salix matsudana ‘Tortuosa’. Corkscrew Willow. A picturesque tree with leaves and branches that are curiously twisted. Branches arise from the trunk at an acute angle and grow up almost parallel to the trunk before they curve back horizontally.  n autumn the foliage turns to a lovely golden yellow hue for a last gasp of color before the tree’s winter appeal is revealed.Twisting, curling, and contorted branches are the result of this tree’s natural growth habit. 1.5-2″ cal. or 8-10 ft.

Green Weeping Willow

One of the best weepers. Long pendulous branches. Excellent for waterside planting. A graceful tree for moist sites which will reach 30-40′ high and wide. Weeping branches reach the ground. Zone 6

 


Green Beech

Fagus Sylvatica. Green Beech. A grand, formal tree with smooth gray bark. The foliage is rich, deep green, changing to golden bronze in fall. Grows 60-70′ high. Full sun to part shade. Autumn foliage hues are most intense with full sun. 1-1.5″ cal. or 6-8 ft.


Hawthorn ‘Washington’

Crataegus phaenopyrum Treeform. Washington Hawthorn. Broad, columnar to rounded shape, low branched, deciduous tree. Foliage is reddish purple in spring, turning dark green in summer, reddish purple in winter. White clusters with pinkish tinge flowers appear in late spring. Orange fruit in fall & winter. Moderate grower to 25’tall. 2-2.5″ cal. or 10-12 ft.
