Viburnums are a large group of deciduous and evergreen shrubs varying in size anywhere from about 2′ tall to 12’tall and taller. Flower in the spring in colors from white to pink. Many are very fragrant. The flowers produce fruit that range in color from yellow, orange, red, pink, blue and black. Viburnums require slightly moist, well-drained soil and are very pH adaptable. Variegated Weigela

A compact, rounded deciduous shrub which typically grows to only 3-10′ tall with a slightly larger spread. Profuse late spring flowers and variegated foliage. Rose-pink, funnel-shaped flowers (to 1.25″ long) appear singly or in clusters along the branches of the previous year’s growth in late spring. Easily grown in average, medium moisture, very low maintenance. Needs full sun for best flowering and foliage color, but will tolerate very light shade. Prune to shape immediately after flowering. 24-30″ plant
